New to wigs, or just not sure what all the numbers mean? Here's everything you need to pick the right unit.
Lace types
- 13x4 lace front: Lace runs ear to ear across the front, about 4" deep. A natural hairline and plenty of room to part. The most popular choice.
- 13x6 lace front: Same ear-to-ear lace, but 6" deep. More parting space and a more natural look for deep side parts.
- 360 lace: Lace all the way around your head, so you can wear high ponytails and updos.
- Full lace: The whole cap is lace. The most styling freedom and the most natural look from every angle.
- Closure (4x4, 5x5, 2x6): A smaller lace piece at the part. Easier to install and lower maintenance.
- Glueless: Made to wear without adhesive, using adjustable straps, combs or a drawstring. Perfect for beginners.
- HD lace: An ultra-thin lace that melts into most skin tones for an invisible hairline.
Density
Density is how much hair is on the cap.
- 150%: Natural, everyday fullness.
- 180%: A little fuller, still natural.
- 200–220%: Full and voluminous.
- 250%+: Extra full, glam volume.
Length
Lengths are measured on stretched hair. Curly and wavy textures will look shorter than their stated length when worn.
Textures
- Straight / bone straight: Sleek and smooth. Bone straight is extra silky and flat.
- Body wave: Soft, loose S-shaped waves.
- Deep wave / water wave: Tighter, more defined waves.
- Curly / kinky curly / Burmese curly: Defined curls with big volume.
- Kinky straight (yaki): Straight hair with a slightly coarse texture that blends with relaxed or blown-out natural hair.
Finding your cap size
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your head along your hairline, behind your ears and around the nape of your neck. Most of our wigs fit an average cap (about 22–22.5") and have adjustable straps.
Wig care basics
- Wash with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner.
- Air dry on a wig stand.
- Use a heat protectant before hot tools.
- Store on a stand or in a satin bag between wears.
